Lord I Offer My Life To You
Phil sang this song at the funeral of his wife. "All my regrets, all my acclaim, the joy and the pain, I’m making them Yours.”

Broken Hallelujah
In the moments when words are too excruciating to think of, when all your soul can do is groan, there can still be praise. “When all that I can sing is a broken hallelujah, when my only offering is shattered praise, still a song of adoration will rise up from these ruins, and I will worship You and give You thanks.”

He Is With You
There were moments when Phil wondered if God saw what was happening, or if He cared. In every moment of life – the good, bad, and everything in between – God is with you.

How Would I Know
This song had meant a lot to Phil for quite a few years, but took on new meaning. If there were no challenges in life, how would we know that we could completely trust the Lord to meet our needs? “How would I know You would deliver? How would I know You would set free? If there had never been a battle, how would I know the victory?”

Praise the Lord, He Never Changes
While in the hospital, this song from the 70’s came to Phil’s mind. He could praise God last week when life was good, but not this week when life was crashing in from every direction. Phil’s circumstances had changed, but God’s eternal character had not. When those things that he thought were secure turned out not to be so, his only security came from God’s unchanging character.

You Will Never Walk Alone
This song was sung at the funerals of both Tammy’s father and Tammy. Jesus promised to be with us through all of life’s circumstances. We can be assured of His comforting, reassuring presence.

Beyond What I Can See
This song has been another of Phil’s favorites for several years. We live by faith, not by sight. “Though the road’s not clear, I will not fear the way He’s leading me. So until the morning light, when my faith ends in sight, I’ll rest assured in Whom I have believed, and follow on beyond what I can see".

In Christ Alone
A few months after the accident, Phil was asked to sing a solo in church – a frequent event, but the first time since the accident. Knowing that his choice of a song would be scrutinized, he wanted to find something with an appropriate message, one that would point the congregation to Christ, not himself This song was his choice; as he finished the song with tears streaming down his face, Pastor Frank Jewett engulfed him in a hug. “In Christ alone I place my trust, and find my glory in the power of the cross. In every victory, let it be said of me, my source of strength, my source of hope, is Christ alone.”

His Strength Is Perfect
Phil & Tammy’s friend, Gary Blackstone, sang this song at Tammy’s graveside service. “His strength is perfect when our strength is gone. He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.”

You Delivered Me
As Phil battled the issue of understanding “why”, he heard this song. God calls us to lives of obedience, not comprehension. “Maybe I won’t ever know why I had to go through the storm, but I know Who delivered me.”

The Only Thing That's Good in Me
People complimented Phil on his strength and his faith. He reacted against the comment, “Your faith will see you through.” His reply: “My faith won’t do a thing. Jesus Christ will see me through. If you’re seeing strength, it is coming through me, but not from me.” This song affirms, “The only thing that’s good in me is Jesus.”

You Send a Rainbow
Diane Muise wrote and sang this song about God’s reminders of His love. Just at our lowest moment of weakness and doubt, God sends “rainbows” to remind us of His presence and to boost our spirits.
